Sparky's dream

Sparky the Parrot

A FOUL mouthed parrot is set for international stardom thanks to Scots TV show Still Game.

Sparky, an African Grey, has become an online hit on video sharing web-site YouTube, turning the air blue by copying a series of x-rated one liners from the show.

In a broad Scottish accent, the hilarious pet mimics his favourite characters, pensioners Jack and Victor, by screaming 'haw bawbag' and 'ya big bloody a*seholes'.

The tiny parrot even uses his favourite quotes from the show - which stars Ford Kiernan and Greg Hemphill - to THREATEN visitors to owners Jim and Wilma Connelly's home by screaming 'I'll boot yer baws son' at the top of his voice.

But despite his foul mouthed outbursts, Sparky - who loves dining on Milky Bar buttons, chips and toast - has since become an online hit, receiving over 670,000 hits.

Sparky's internet clips are set to feature on Rude Tube International, a spin off TV show based around YouTube showing the best clips from the site.

And producers from Lily Allen and Friends, a chat show hosted by the 'Smile' singer, have also expressed an interest.

But the biggest offer has come from American TV channel Comedy Central who want to fly Sparky to the US to feature in a re-hash of top comedy programme The Gong Show hosted by Hollywood actor Adam Sandler.

And last night Jim, 49, from Kilmarnock, Ayrshire, said: "My wife and I own a camper van and always watch Still Game when we go away at weekends.

"When we got Sparky we took him with us and before we knew it he was picking up lines from the show.

"His favourites are obviously Jack and Victor and he had us in stitches repeating quotes from them.

"He'd shout 'hey you, ya bawbag' and 'I'll boot yer baws son' so I decided to film him.

"I put them on the web and now he's got his own fanbase and everyone loves him.

"We've even had e-mails from TV companies in London wanting us to bring him down and one show in America have offered to fly him over.

"It's crazy but, who knows, this time next year Sparky could be starring in his own show."

Wilma, 51, added: "We can't believe the level of interest in him but it's typical as he loves being the centre of attention.

"He's always learning new words and phrases and surprising us.

"He's a little character and good company and we just love him."
