Spurned lover launched revenge attack

Andrew Clark

A JEALOUS boyfriend has admitted leaving naked photographs of his girlfriend in the street where she lived.

Spurned Andrew Clark left pictures of Lynn Hunter on cars and in her neighbours letter boxes after she dumped him at the end of an eight year relationship.

Clark, 25, claimed Hunter, 24, had 'ruined his life' before launching his twisted revenge plot on April 18 this year

But he was spotted by his terrified ex who called the police to her home in Hamilton, Lanarkshire.

A hearing at the town's sheriff court was told how raging Clark had scattered intimate images of his former teenage sweetheart near her home.

Depute Fiscal Emma Tonner told the court how Clark, also of Hamilton, and Hunter had split up just weeks before the incident.

She said: "Miss Hunter was alone in the flat when she saw a vehicle belonging to her former partner Clark outside in the car park.

"She saw Clark place a picture on the windscreen of a car. This was also seen by a neighbour who approached Mr Clark.

"The neighbour was asked if he would like to see pictures of Miss Hunter but declined the offer.

"Mr Clark went on to put something through the letter boxes of Miss Hunter's neighbours.

"The neighbour who approached Mr Clark asked him why he was doing this, and he replied: 'She has ruined my life'.

"Further pictures were then found in the grounds which showed Miss Hunter in a state of undress which left her deeply embarrassed."

Defence lawyer Charles Ferguson, representing Clark, asked the court to recognise there was no 'sexual element' to the case.

He added: "My client is deeply ashamed by his actions. This incident has embarrassed himself and has embarrassed his mother, who was only informed by what had happened by a member of Miss Hunter's family."

Last night Miss Hunter was unavailable for comment but a source close to her told how she had been left 'terrified' by Clark's vendetta.

The source added: "Lynn has had her life turned upside down by this. She had been in a relationship with Clark since they were in their teens and he has behaved terribly.

"He has totally betrayed her and deserves to be harshly punished for this."

Sheriff Frank Pieri deferred sentence on Clark until June 23.

Clark refused to comment as he ran from court.
